The North Alabama West Coast Swing Association is a non-profit and volunteer-run community organization dedicated to promoting the art of West Coast Swing dancing in the city of Huntsville and the surrounding areas. We work to broaden the audience for our dance, and to spotlight all credible local instructors and their activities. We also strive to offer the most fun, friendly, and welcoming dance events in the city to help new dancers find their way into this wonderful community.

Starting in May, NAWCSA will be hosting free weekly West Coast Swing socials around Huntsville! We've partnered with Saturn Jive Dance Space to host our first ever social on May 5th, with more to follow afterwards!
You can join our mailing list for updates about our future venues, and our upcoming series of group classes!
NAWCSA is committed to our mission of promoting the dance of West Coast Swing to the broadest possible audience in the region of northern Alabama. We support all credible instructors teaching in our region, and we work with other local community organizations to showcase our dance to public audiences at events like arts fairs and street festivals.
NAWCSA believes in creating the best possible spaces to build community together through partner dancing. Our socials welcome and accept people of all backgrounds and lifestyles. We also work continually to keep improving our events, soliciting feedback from our community and experimenting with new ideas for how best to help people make connections that last a lifetime.
Truly safe spaces require an active effort of transparency and accountability applied to every single community member, including leadership. NAWCSA events operate under an enforced code of conduct that directly addresses disruptive and predatory behavior. In addition, the NAWCSA board oversees decisions made by leadership and takes action to address concerns raised by all members of the community.
